Chantrell Ruiz’s passion for golf began at the age of four, when her father, Bruce Alexander, a professional golf instructor, introduced her to the game. Growing up immersed in the golfing world, Chantrell not only honed her own skills but also assisted her father in teaching, gaining early insights into the art of instruction. At the age of 15, Chantrell discovered her true calling—teaching. While working with special needs children, she realized the joy and fulfillment of helping others learn the game she loved. This ignited a lifelong passion for both golf and education, motivating her to work part-time at golf courses as she balanced her personal life. In 2010, Chantrell made a bold decision to move from Oregon to Arizona with her children, fully committing to pursuing her golfing career. Over the years, Chantrell has perfected her teaching skills, developing diverse programs for golfers of all ages and skill levels. Her proudest achievement came between 2014 and 2018, when she coached the Valley Vista High School Girls Golf Team, transforming them from beginners into district champions and ultimately leading them to the state tournament. In January 2019, Chantrell took a significant step forward in her career by founding CA Golf Academy in Surprise, AZ, located at Great Eagle Golf Club. That same year, she expanded her influence in the community by assisting the Desert Mashie Junior Golf Program and The First Tee of Phoenix, helping to shape the next generation of golfers.
