Hiking Group - September Meet Up
September Hiking Club Meet Up
Waterfall – Mule Deer
September 4th beginning at 7 AM: The Waterfall trail is the signature White Tank Regional Park trail featuring many Petroglyph drawings along the hike up to the waterfall basin. It is an iconic southwestern experience – right in our backyard!
The groups will park at the Black Rock loop trailhead (Lot 4) which connects to Waterfall via the Black Rock trail. These trails are rated moderate-to-easiest for enjoyment by hikers of all abilities. Since this experience is something that everyone should enjoy the Adventurers and Explorers will hike to the waterfall and back to the parking lot together (~2 miles). The Explorers will then continue an additional 2 miles on the Mule Deer trail toward the visitor center for special views of greater Phoenix from the White Tank foothills (6 miles).
The Hiking Club will meet at the SG Model Home Park Ramada ready to depart at 7 AM. Please RSVP to Neil Kerr Hiking Group leader at nkerr.986@gmail.com if you would like to join the Hiking Club. The Hiking Club typically carpools to the park since several Hiking Club members have season park passes to get through the gate.
