Hiking Club | Sonoran Desert Preserve | Dixie Mountain Loop

The hike is in the southern section of the Phoenix Sonoran Preserve, starting from the Desert Vista trailhead at 1900 West Desert Vista Trail. We will hike in a clockwise loop. From the trailhead, we start on the Hawks Nest trail for a spirited climb of 160' to the Dixie Mountain Loop, then clockwise around Dixie Mountain for about 3.5 miles to the intersection of the Valle Verde trail and back to the trailhead.
